Welsh Dahlia Trials 2009
I begin by reminding you that the Welsh Dahlia Society Trials are autonomous and not associated with any other Society..
In 2009 we once again experienced atrocious weather with constant rain and high winds in July and August. Despite this the cultivars were judged, and results formulated. This year we had seventy cultivars from eighteen raisers - a couple more than in 2008,so once again we have been very well supported..Planting out took place on June 16th and the tubers lifted on October 25th 2009. As Trial co-ordinator may I personally thank all the raisers in supporting The Welsh Dahlia Society in 2009, Any information on Welsh Dahlia Society Trials must be directed through The Welsh Dahlia Society.
