The winner was ORETI BLISS, a small cactus entered by Halls of Heddon and raised by W. Jack of New Zealand.
In second place was MARJORIE J. L., a lilac/lavender miniature decorative entered by R. Porter and raised by R. Turrell.
The third place was won by a small waterlily HARRIET 6 this was raised and entered by J.Gott .
The fourth in the number of points gained was STEVEN'S VANDA, a miniature decorative entered by D. Spener and raised by S.Cox of Australia.
The best collerette - a popular classification with nine in the Trials - was judged to be SCARLETT CLAIRE. This has red petals with lighter colour collar petals.
Another Seven cultivars impressed the judges and are listed in the numerical order of their Trial numbers.
Jom Anouschka is a wine red miniature ball dahlia entered by J. Gott and raised by J. T. Walters. This one stood out on the Trial grounds.
Narra's Tricia is a large semi-cactus with faultless form and terrific stems. It was entered and raised by L. Jackson.
Blyton's Enid is a lavender miniature ball which has everything required for this classification - great form, centres and stems. Entered and raised by L.Stothard. Fontmell Kaz is an extremely pretty collerette with pale lavender, almost blue, outer petals and a white collar. This was entered and raised by K. Stock.
Confusion is a miniature decorative entered and raised by T. Cleghorn. It is pale pink with good form and lovely centres and with proper decorative petals.
Devon Wymark is the first small decorative to be mentioned. From D. Kent it is lavender in colour with lots of petals which make for a substantial small decorative. Barton Princess is a small cactus entered and raised by G. Carey. It is bronze with a yellow centre and was rated as particularly good.
